It has a completely paint and coating free exterior. All exterior components are 300 Series stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance in severe duty and washdown environments. Heavy polyester insulating varnish is applied to the windings for extra moisture and corrosion

For use in the food processing, chemical processing, and beverage industries, this motor is well-sealed against moisture and condensation to protect internal components. It has a completely paint- and coating-free exterior. All exterior components are 300 Series stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance in severe-duty and washdown environments. Heavy polyester insulating varnish is applied to the windings for extra moisture and corrosion resistance. Additional features include moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and endbells, and double-sealed oversized bearings with rust-inhibitive grease. The shaft-end bearing is locked internally to limit axial endplay. Four drains in each endshield allow drainage of condensation in any mounting position.
